SPRING IN THE DESERT

Many people think of the cactus as a green, dull, spiky plant, without beauty. Actually, there are many varieties of cacti, and many have unusual attractive shapes. But come spring the cactus, like the rest of nature, dresses in its beautiful finery and a surprising fashion show it it. Here is a collection of cacti in spring in my neighborhood in Tucson, Arizona.
